| | Students, Faculty, Scientist and Staff of IITB can register samples for analysis by this mode. |
| | The user can view previous registration status (It's approved or otherwise) and such details. |
| | When the user registers an email will be automatically sent to the guide for approval.Subsequent to the guide approval, an email will be sent to the corresponding HOD for approval.After approval of HOD, Reg details are approved by SAIF & a mail will be sent to user indicating appointment details.

| | If Samples are registered by faculty then the mail will be sent directly for HOD's approval if the sample is FOR ACADEMIC RESEARCH. |
| | When the user registers samples for consultancy or sponsored project, then HOD's approval is not necessary. It will be directly sent to SAIF for approval if the registration is by the Project Investigator (PI) of the project. However, the PI needs to submit a form giving his/her consent for financial transfer from the concerned head of account towards the SAIF charges.

| | The project staff may also take up online registration. However, the registration warrants PI's approval. |
